Samy
Founder of Pixel Samy, and of ClickTheory, its YouTube packaging studio in Dubai. I write the thumbnail and packaging articles on this site.
Why I write this blog
ClickTheory is the packaging arm of Pixel Samy, a founder-run group based in Dubai that builds content engines for creators and runs YouTube channels of its own. That last part is the reason this blog exists. Every argument I make here about a title, a thumbnail, or a test has to survive on our own channels first, with our own money behind it, before it goes into a client deck.
Most thumbnail advice online is written by people who have never had to live with the consequences of a bad click-through rate on a video they paid for. I have. So the posts here tend to be more specific and less flattering than the genre usually allows, and they will happily tell you when a change is not worth making.
What I work on
- YouTube packaging: titles and thumbnails designed as one decision, not two
- Thumbnail A/B testing, and reading the results honestly
- Repackaging back catalogues that stopped earning impressions
- Building content engines for creators and founder-led brands
